Why, Why, Why

Why, why, why????

This seems to be my kiddos favorite word right now. It's so lovely I can't stand it. Usually after 101 times, it does get old & let's say I put an end to the "Why" questions. In fact, as cute, innocent & full of wonder these questions are, they can literally pull on our last string of patience usually right around bedtime. All you want is peace & praise at this point of the parenting day. Please someone say job well done but no!!- my kiddos save an arsenal of questions that fire immediately after we end prayers as I'm kissing them good night. Floods of emotions from how incredible my love is for them, how precious they are, blessed I am, and then truly how exhausted I am that the questions don't seem as cute or as important anymore. Then I wonder if this is even curiosity at this point or just the ploy to stay up later. Maybe both but at some point it has to end & kiddos needs to be reassured that all the questions don't have to be answered all at once.....

So our Heavenly Father says in time my child- he doesn't mind the why why why questions but at some point he wants to be praised for all that he is doing. The good works, the open doors, the yet to be open doors, the blessings, the good health, and life in & of itself.....so...

"This is where I start my COMEBACK. I will spend no more time asking God why doors have been closed because I'll be too busy praising God for the doors that are about to open"

This quote will be my focus for today. May it be yours as well. Be blessed my friends.
