Definitely challenged as the forces lol were against me, I would like to call it the WWE tag team on mama hour, bewitching hour, as I was giving Easton a time out, the twins tagged teamed the pantry & I can hear noodles scattering on the kitchen floor. What does one do? Do you go to twister twins or keep your tantruming 3 yr old from causing more havic? Quick call- twins were safe so I call for Christian's help cause it was not just the 0.99 stuff we are talking about, it was a good dumping of the gluten free kind & then the running of little feet & wheels crunching it into pieces. There was some cringing inside going on.
Christian gets there & what do you want me to do he says it's already a mess. Again this is in matter of seconds but I come in to access the situation & lock up the other stuff & back to the little boy who is refusing a time out, refusing to listen, throwing stuff, hitting, and trying to have mercy since nap was refused & he isn't feeling well but we still dont act like a cyclone, right?!? Then there is the instance prior he found chocolate syrup in the refrigerator & poured it into each of the twins snack bowls. Or as I was handing out bananas someone uttered "cookie" and I think I heard cookie 50 times & no one wanted a dang banana grrr.... Then as a treat were we planning on ice cream & low & behold we ran out of ice cream another grrr... This is not ok with 4 Boyz hovering over the canister. Roars outbroke! So as of now our toddler is guessing he is on the "naughty" list & refusing to try to get on the "nice" list. Oh & this stool thing, the twins think it's awesome to sit at the counter on their own stool which is just so so cute & adorable but quickly turned into a disaster of "please sit down" "please get down" "please sit on your butt" what other phrases could I think of to not stand up on the stool & now they have access to everything in reach & heavens forbid someone sit on someone else's stool & who started this still thing anyways still trying to figure that out....All in all, it's a normal day, a very good day, and why not add to the Christmas season two teething twins with their two year molars & I still feel blessed to go through this mess! Tis the season! Rejoice in the chaos! Give thanks even for the Messes! Love in the relentless hours of parenting! For a wise soul once said "the days may be long but the years are short. Savor these days! Enjoy each moment!"
