So I feel like my going in circles some might call this insanity but when everyone wakes up from nap they are grouchy like we are in an episode of Sesame Street starring all Oscar the grouches plus some. It's screaming and tantrums from unknown earthly causes. I take temps, I check diapers, I give water or milk so I'm a catering service on the side, I get snacks and put a lovely educationally movie on call "Toy Story". I pull out all the big guns and the grouchy moods are still lingering. God forbid they would all like to watch the same show or someone took the blue bowl or the yellow cup or sitting on my lap or what spot on the couch they got. Then hubby texts to make sure I got that blank lease out yep right on that too and "oh ya, can you get my wedding ring out of the garbage disposal?" which 2 hrs earlier I watched him drop it in there as he was washing his hands but never thought he didn't attempt to retrieve. Hmmm....bewilderment....then there's homework in between and I'm saying spelling words as others are crying because of commercials. Back to spelling and "mom you asked that word already" yes it I'm tricking you you see....hmmm...then oh yes supper time. Supper time is such an
anointed experience in our house with lots of praises and flaring up of arms and the realization that the dishwasher wasn't run and not enough "kid" dishes. Or no one likes the veggie you picked or even the meal you so lovingly prepared. Oh my the clean up, it comes just as fast as the plates get served and my kiddos think it funny to take apart the vacuum as I was cleaning up from supper & the other kiddo acts as if he was someone in the circus free standing on the steering wheel of a bike to help themselves to those unreachable items which are out of reach for a very good reason (why do I need to explain why the pens aren't toys?!?) Or do you find yourself getting possessive of YOUR STUFF!?!. Like hey that's mine... almost very "kid like" ....which happens I suppose when you hang around kids 24/7. But you get worn out with kids touching your stuff. At least I do. FOR REAL! Then as I remembered to fetched the wedding ring out of the garbage disposal, I concluded that it's like "
Ring Around the Rosie" I'm going in circles upon circles sometimes getting dizzy & falling down, sometimes putting both hands up and enjoying the ride, other times raising the white flag of surrender completely nauseated as the circling goes faster. And life continues to go on. Let us focus on cherishing the moments and being present even if these mundane tasks at hand seem never ending. May you & I choose to be joyful in these moments and accept the position of full time SUPER HERO for our crews! ~ Peace
Defined "Circle" - move all the way around (someone or something), especially more than once.
